Introduction
STOP THE PURPLE is a campaign by Studio Nuts for APAV — the Portuguese Association for Victim Support — in partnership with fashion brand Someone Said. Its goal: to reclaim purple, once tied to the bruises of violence, as a symbol of empowerment and solidarity. Centered on the message “Wear purple. Don’t let it mark you,” the campaign engaged public figures, national media, and thousands online. With support from 13 influential women and institutions like the FC Porto Women’s Team, it culminated in a public march on November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Beyond awareness, it raised thousands of euros for APAV, funding vital support for hundreds of victims. More than a campaign, STOP THE PURPLE became a movement for dignity, strength, and change.
